loud, to the point that they come with a hearing damage warning if someone is standing too close. If you use your horn the way it is meant, as a safety device, then that split second delay between hitting the button and when the air horn comes on as the system pressurizes, can eat up a lot of tarmac under your wheels at speed. It doesn't seem that important until you realize how important fractions of seconds and response times are when you need your horn in an emergency. At least that's been my experience. No one has ignored these horns the way they did the stockers, so I'm happy.
